When in 2006 two Czech electricians connect the school and local hospital of a remote village in Zambia to a power supply, they think they are bringing the inhabitants not only light but also independence. Four years later, they return to the village, only to find their system in ruins. Solar Eclipse is the colorful story of the trial of building up European technology and responsibility in developing countries The differences of cultures, ideas and opinions about light and darkness between Europeans and Africans are illustratred without assessment and with a beautiful touch of humour.
