'The Pipe' ia a story, like David and Goliath, about  the four-year-long battle between the residents of the small fishing village of Rossport and one of the world's largest oil companies: Shell Oil. When the multinational enterprise finds a source of natural gas along the village coastline, they, in line with local authorities, begin to lay a pipeline that will cut directly through the settlement. The resistence to the construction work is firm and when Shell Oil, backed by massive police presence, continue with their project a proper battle breaks out ? between paid state and private police and the completely peaceful but outraged settlers who, with all the tools at their disposal, try to defend their land.
