The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Resolution 217 A (III)) consists of 30 articles, and was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a dynamic document, with the fundamental idea that every person, by the very fact that he or she is a human being, possesses dignity. To protect this human dignity, the human being is entitled to rights, which are inalienable and indivisible.
