Synopsis

Over a period of three years, the filmmakers accompanied women who were victims of rape during the Croatian War of Independence and who have been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder ever since. For a long time, they were not able to speak about their continued emotional suffering. Decades later, these women gradually succeed in breaking their silence in group therapy, and together they discover a life beyond the weight of their crushing past. The film takes a gentle look at the protagonists working through their trauma and allows the audience to partake in their development, one step at a time.
