The power of anti-Semitic images is not a new development of social media, but their adaptation, especially to popular culture, strengthens their influence. Often indistinguishable, traditional forms of prejudice against Jews are mixed with discrimination against the Jewish state. Visualisations play a central role, as they combine emotional and cognitive elements and usually elude rational discourse.

In this lecture, the contemporary historian Prof. Dr. Frank Stern, known for the Vienna Jewish Film Club in the Metro Kinokulturhaus and numerous film lectures, will analyse anti-Semitic film works of the 21st century and visualise them by means of exemplary film excerpts.
