Synopsis

The 15-year-old Ukrainian gymnast Olga is in exile in Switzerland. Due to the Euromaidan revolts, it became too dangerous for her to stay in Ukraine. The protests in her home country intensify, and with that also Olga’s worries about her mother and her friends. This coming-of-age film accompanies the girl during her dense daily training routine. Olga’s efforts on the high bar and the pushing of her physical limits develop their own intense language in image and sound. The film shows how Olga increasingly turns gymnastics into an outlet and an escape from a crushing reality.
