Synopsis

Iranian women who want to practice their favorite sport, wrestling, while living in a society shaped by religious patriarchy, are confronted with quite particular challenges. Nevertheless, more than a thousand young women are internationally successful in this discipline because the World Sports Federation forces Iran to allow wrestling for women. The courageous female athletes, wearing Islamic sportswear as required by the state, struggle for their rights when some bad news cause an international crisis for Iranian wrestling and they lose their most important supporter.
