Das Internationale Filmfestival für Menschenrechte this human world (thw) veranstaltet 2023 unter der gemeinsamen Schirmherrschaft des Informationsdienstes der Vereinten Nationen (UNIS) Wien, des UN-Flüchtlingshochkommissariats (UNHCR) in Österreich und der Magistratsabteilung der Stadt Wien – Gruppe Europa und Internationales (MD-EUI) mit Schulen in Österreich, Polen, der Slowakei, Slowenien, der Tschechischen Republik und Ungarn einen Kurzfilm Wettbewerb zum Thema Menschenrechte.

Students aged 10-20 are invited to work in class or individually to create short films based on the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. After a year in which inequalities and challenges have become even more visible, we want to put special emphasis on the importance of cohesion, solidarity and togetherness. The many conflicts of recent years clearly show that it takes cross-border, cross-divisional and cross-generational cooperation to confront them.

The anniversary theme of this year's competition is:

• Wie setzt du dich für Menschenrechte ein?
• Wie können wir Menschen auf der Flucht unterstützen,
  die Menschenrechtsverletzungen erleiden mussten?
• Welcher Artikel der Erklärung hat dein Leben schon
  einmal betroffen?
• Warum ist die Allgemeine Erklärung der Menschenrechte
  so wichtig?
• Zu welchem Artikel kannst du eine Geschichte
  erzählen/einen Kurzfilm machen?
