Chile, 1978: Under Pinochet’s military dictatorship, Raúl Peralta—a lonely and physically disabled man who lives with his ailing mother—has his routine shattered by the arrival of suspicious neighbors. Raúl tries to uncover the truth, and in doing so he becomes trapped in a nightmare of paranoia and violence. Caught between past and present, he spirals toward madness. From afar, this psychological thriller delves into an oppressive political history and, from up close, it puts on display the dark sides of the human condition.
